I have been a slacker about blogging. Nothing really exciting here lately, except just still recovering from Tevis I guess. My chiropractor saw me last week and said "Were you just 'glowing' for a while?" I told him I was still glowing.....glowing....glowing.....couldn't he tell?? It's not going away anytime soon and I'm not complaining.
Anyway I've decided Sage needs to do something besides barking wildly at the fence and being a future conformation dog. She came in season finally, then Cardiff, so they get to be in a yard together and stress out the boys. Sage is almost out and now Cardiff is annoying everyone. Sage pathetically thought she and Squishy should have babies so she would park herself as close to the chain link fence and sleep next to Squishy smashed next to her on the other side. Poor Squishy......not my ideal breeding. Sue reminded me dogs have been conceived thru crates......now that's a vision.
Sooo, the point of this post is about 4 months ago I took Sage down to the cul-de-sac to train her how to sit. 5 minutes worth with treats and the clicker. No brainer. She learned quick. Then I seemed to have forgotten to train her. Might have been the Big Ride. Luckily she has a very large brain in that long, lean head, and the other day, I took her out again and she remembered exactly how to sit. This afternoon, after giving her a bath, we worked on down and that also was a no-brainer. 2 or 3 times and she was laying down on her own. Click and treat. I LOVE the clicker!!! Soooo easy to train a dog to do something. So, that's it. Since I gave 6 horse baths today & one Sage bath......I am done for the night. Suddenly sooo exhausted, but so glad Sage is smart.
